✨Just launched–New AI Parent Center 🤖

Hello Reader,

We're proud to partner with our friends at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) who just launched a new AI resource!

The Parent Center is a new platform designed to help families navigate today’s digital landscape by bringing parents together with the most trusted resources out there, including Good Pictures Bad Pictures and articles from Defend Young Minds.

This useful tool provides:

  • immediate answers to your questions about protecting your kids online,
  • trusted resources to learn more and stay informed, and
  • actions you can take to call for systemic change (we're looking at you, lawmakers and Big Tech!).

The Parent Center AI tool features resources exclusively from NCOSE's trusted partners.

Here are some types of questions you can you ask the Parent Center AI tool:

📵 Can you provide steps for implementing parental controls while setting up a new iPhone for a teen?

🚨 My child is currently being extorted by a sexual predator on Roblox. He’s threatening to release sexual images of my kid. What should I do?

❓My 8-year-old has access to our family’s tablet. Even with heavy restrictions, I’m worried he will come across dangerous content. How do I begin a conversation with a kid so young about the harms of pornography?

Any question you have about child online safety, you can ask the Parent Center AI tool.

We’ve received assurances that the NCOSE team has worked very hard to make the tool safe for all visitors.

We’re also happy they’ve made it without using a “companion AI” avatar–something we caution parents to avoid. AI is a tool–it’s not our friend.

Be one of the first to use this new resource at parentcenter.org.

It’s an old adage to fight fire with fire. Using AI to help parents deal with digital dangers is a game-changer.

Warmly,

Kristen

P.S. The Parent Center shares our Good Pictures Bad Pictures books and articles from Defend Young Minds. We hope this new tool helps millions of parents worldwide find our resources. You can help by sharing the Parent Center with your friends and family.
