Hello Reader, What if the biggest mistake we make about girls and porn is assuming it’s mostly a boys’ issue? That assumption leaves too many girls unprepared. I’ve just published a new article introducing Good Pictures Bad Pictures Guide for Girls: How I Stay Safe, Smart & Confident. In it, I share two reasons why I felt compelled to write this book. First, the courageous stories of women of different ages who struggled silently with pornography addiction. (I think one of them will surprise you.) Plus, the requests from parents asking me to create a resource specifically for girls. In this article, I answer questions like:
I also answer, "Can this book be read before the sex talks begin?" Psssst! Yes, it can. Like the previous Good Pictures Bad Pictures books, it does not address sex openly, which makes it a helpful way to begin building awareness, safety, and trust early. I hope you’ll take a moment to read the article. And if it resonates with you, would you please help me spread the word? Forward this email to family and friends, or share the article link on social media. You never know which parent, grandparent, counselor, or teacher may need this resource right now.

"I knew that this book would be good, but it's better than I expected. [It] is significantly different from the previous Good Pictures Bad Pictures books. It has a storyline which helps to bring a more relaxed mood. It's seems easier to understand some of the topics, because the main character asks lots of questions."- Melissa V. |

Hello Reader, I ain’t gonna lie–March has been BUSY for me! Probably for you, too! So today, I’m popping in with a quick 3 minute video. Have you heard of the BOP House? Keep reading because you’re going to find out more reasons why girls need our attention when it comes to pornography. It’s an interview between Fight the New Drug and Heidi Olson, a pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner who knows firsthand how pornography harms children physically and emotionally. In this short video, Heidi...
Hello Reader, For years, many have believed the age-old myth that girls aren’t really affected by pornography. But that’s simply not true. Girls are growing up in a world where porn and sexualized media distort body image, undermine self-worth, normalize harmful behaviors, and shape what they believe about relationships, intimacy, and even their own value. That’s why I wrote my brand-new read-aloud book for girls ages 7–12: Good Pictures Bad Pictures Guide for Girls: How I Stay Safe, Smart &...
